POWER OF WISHES
It all begins with a wish. A wish for a better future…
I started to this project at the begining of 2021. As the whole human race we all had an extremely difficult year in 2020. At the begining of 2021 we all had hope. Hope for a cure, hope for a normal daily life, hope to see our friends… These works represent all these positive hopes and dreams for the future. In some of the works there are real wishes of the real people.
An old pagan ritual inspired me for this project.

Blessings
Acrylic on Canvas, 40x30 in., 2021
Blessings; in this painting I used blue and white for hope and there are many little lines next to each other. They are in a row. I wanted them to represent little praying hands asking for blessings. -
Void
Acrylic on Canvas, 40x30 in., 2021
Void; represents the darkness we fell right now and it seems like endless. No one can really see the future and what it will bring. In this painting, I used the white and blue parts just like the fabrics I have used on the other paintings. And they are swaying above the void around us and try to bring some light in it.
Every wish counts…
I use fabric on canvas. Like a hand made carpet, I put every piece one by one. Every knot represents us individually and they stand for our hopes…
